Our
strategies

Generali Global Infrastructure is a pure play asset management company that provides attractive infrastructure investment solutions across the capital structure.
Generali Global Infrastructure’s strategies are devised with the sole purpose of best addressing the needs of our clients. We offer multiple strategies to meet a wide variety of client objectives.
All Generali Global Infrastructure’s strategies share some common features: they follow deeply rooted sustainability principles and exclusively focus on real infrastructure assets, Generali Global Infrastructure’s core expertise.
The investment solutions that we shape benefit from the wide scope of opportunities presented by the infrastructure sector, ranging from solar farms to fiber networks as well as a wide array of instruments across the capital structure.

Our privileged access to a very wide choice of investment opportunities is what allows us to select investments that offer attractive risk returns.

Our Funds

We manage close to €6,5 billion of AUM1 on behalf of over 50 international investors through a variety of funds incorporated in France or Luxembourg. Our clients are mostly insurance companies but also include pension funds.

Our fund offering has been devised to address the needs of our clients. It spans thematic to multi-sector investing, with or without geographical focus. Because we invest across the capital structure, our investors have the possibility to build a tailored exposure to debt, equity or any combination of both, depending on their desired risk-return profile.

Our flagship funds are large commingled funds targeting senior investment grade quality debt. The latest one to have ended its subscription period exceeded €2 billion1 of comittments. Our innovative thematic and enhanced return funds target below-investment grade debt. The latter are suited to those investors in search of higher yields.

Origination

We source in excess of 400 investment1 opportunities per year. This is achieved thanks to a constant dialogue with the market from our entire team as well as our Senior Advisors, drawing on our well established networks of industrial sponsors, financial investors, banks, advisors, consultants and public organizations. With more than ten nationalities in the team, we take advantage of our deep market intelligence across the infrastructure space to secure better access to investment opportunities and make very well-informed investment decisions.

Selection Process

We have a rigorous process for selecting investment opportunities. Our most valuable assets are the experience, expertise and engagement of our team. Long-standing relationships with industry players across Europe and North America make us the partner of choice for developers seeking funding solutions.
All assets are screened through our proprietary ESG methodology with the support of reputable consultants in this field.

Our privileged access to a very wide choice of investment opportunities is what allows us to select investments that offer attractive risk returns.

Our sectors

We concentrate on five main sectors through which we invest in essential and sustainable real assets that contribute to the quality of life of people today and of the next generations :

Energy Transition

Committed to fight climate change, we mobilise capital to accelerate the deployment of renewable energies. Beyond financing single projects, we support credible transitions of utilities towards a < 2°C climate trajectory. We engage in energy efficiency schemes including district heating networks and energy services to industrial and residential customers.

Green Mobility

Transportation has historically been one of the largest sectors in Europe. We invest significantly in Green Mobility for people and goods with a focus on the rail sector and emerging electric vehicles infrastructures.

Environment

Beyond the energy transition, we seek to contribute to the broader ecological transition through investments in the waste and water sectors, including with the financing of waste to energy plants and circular economy projects, wastewater treatment plants and drinking water networks.

Social
infrastructure

Our focus is on schools and hospitals that provide health and education services to local communities, with typically the public sector co-financing and/or acting as the main counterparties to these projects.

Digital transformation

Telecommunications and access to high-speed connections have never been so essential and contribute to resilient and inclusive societies. We invest in crucial infrastructure assets across telecom towers, datacenters and fiber networks, in support of ambitious national and European plans seeking to reduce digital divide in rural areas.
